Suspense: Madman’s Dream Demo
Step into the fractured mind of Jamie Atkinson in this chilling psychological horror experience. When imagination feels more real than reality, can anyone truly help?
In this narrative-driven demo, witness a man’s descent into madness. Explore a 1950s English house through the eyes of someone whose reality is constantly shifting. Navigate ever-changing environments, face haunting fears, and sense the unsettling presence of someone—or something—watching you.
Your goal is to uncover the truth tormenting Jamie. With no hints or clear paths, every discovery is up to you. Each surreal moment is inspired by psychiatric realities, offering a raw glimpse into the horrors of mental illness.
Features:
- Voice Control: Use your voice to survive, explore, and solve mysteries.
- Immersive Exploration: Investigate eerie environments and solve puzzles to piece together Jamie’s story.
- Shifting Spaces: Wander through psychedelic, ever-changing scenes with manifestations of violence and fear.
- Authenticity: A scientifically grounded depiction of schizophrenia.
From the Developer:
Hi, I’m Oscar, a former doctor who worked with patients suffering from severe mental disorders, including forensic cases involving unimaginable acts.
Mental illness is a heavy burden, often misunderstood. Some patient stories were so surreal they felt like scenes from a movie or game. I left medicine to channel those experiences into game development.
While some gameplay elements might seem illogical, they are grounded in psychiatric reality, reflecting the true experiences of those with mental illnesses.

This game does a good job showcasing the chaos of human delusion. many parts feel strange, and even when incoherent they wrap the story together very well. One thing I felt broke the immersion, was that the characters voice acting didn't feel expressive, I couldn't feel the fear in his voice that should definitely have been there. I loved the use of voice mechanics as a method of control- the graphics and game as a whole feel very well put together.
I play your game (and a couple others) and leave in depth feedback in the video below. You can vote for your game to advance in my channels competition for best indie horror game of january. Vote on my channels community page on todays poll. I'll be 3D printing a scene or monster from the winning game to give to the games dev.
